Year 5 were very lucky to have StarLincs Planetarium visit the school towards the end of half term. They were learning about space in their science topic as well as writing diary entries about the moon landing in English lessons. The children learnt about the night sky through an immersive experience in the space dome. They were really excited and engaged during this session and impressed the teacher with their knowledge of the Solar System.
In the afternoon there were activities such as making a Mars lander out of LEGO, making craters in the lunar surface and using clay to make a Mars landscape. The children had an exciting day and learned many things about our Solar system on the way.
