This week in history, Year 6 learnt all about rationing in World War Two. We discussed what rationing was, why it was in place and looked at the amounts of food people had. We were also fortunate enough to look at a rationing book.
Following this, the children sampled a trench stew made with ingredients that were available under rationing. This also linked back to our learning about the trenches within our World War One unit.
