Following an assembly about Lincolnshire Day with Mr Reeve, the children are very excited that we have decided to have a non uniform day tomorrow. If you have something yellow then please wear it but this is not essential.

Last week some Year 6 girls accompanied Miss Hamby to a local Macmillan Coffee morning. Miss Hamby has been teaching them some popular songs from the 1940s to perform at the event. It was great to be out in the community & showcase the talent we have at Linchfield School.

This afternoon, Year 6 have been using their woodwork skills toward their DT project of creating nest boxes and book corner stands. They have also been creating backdrops for their Stop Motion computing projects.

Year 1 have been busy planting seeds as part of our science work on plants. We have planted parsley, tomatoes, cress and peas. We have been making observations and making sure we give the seeds what they need to grow.

Reminder- we’re having a non uniform day tomorrow to celebrate 100% attendance last week. Anyone who has PE tomorrow can come in their own sports wear.

Y3 had a wonderful first day back learning all about the property of plants. They segmented different flowers and found the main parts. The children's prior knowledge of plants was outstanding and we hope to investigate the best conditions for a plant to grow in the future!

Year 1 have had a great week. We have been working on consolidating our knowledge of addition and subtraction within 20. We have been able to play some games and record number sentences. We also enjoyed making a moving picture for our Easter card.
